Abstract

BP/EI statistics provide data in Excel, and various charts can be created according to the purpose based on the data, so it can be said to be an effective tool for reviewing the exploration and development trends of oil and natural gas in the world.

In Part 1, it was clarified that the annual production of natural gas in the world has been increasing rapidly since 1970, but the R/P of gas has remained flat because the proved reserves have also increased rapidly. In Part 2, the author believes that I was able to provide an overview of the upstream trends of the world’s oil and natural gas by clarifying the current production or consumption of each major producing country and the export destinations and importers of oil and natural gas. More detailed trends in individual countries can be found in the IHS markit database, as well as on the websites of the US Energy Information Administration(EIA)and JOGMEC.
