抄録

The environments of sedimentation and their relations to the geochemical studies, of the Onnagawa and the Funakawa formations (Tertiary age) which are major petroleum source beds in Japan are discussed and the auther's opnion that the Onnagawa formation consists of the characteristic sediments of the “flysch” type is presented in this paper.
