Abstract
Principles of in-situ measurement of mass concentration of chain-like aerosol particle were presented based on the dynamic light scattering for aggregated particles and a fuzzy set. The method was checked and evaluated experimentally with chain-like lead aerosol particles and their mass equivalent spherical particles. The experiment made it clear that the principles are generally feasible, and more profound and careful study on the membership function to aggregated aerosol particles is required for practical use of the method like as an in-situ measurement of diesel soots.
