Abstract
Prediction accuracies for the wall heat transfer models implemented in the engine simulation code HINOCA were investigated to understand the applicability for exploring the improvement of thermal efficiency of internal combustion engines with reducing the heat loss through the incylinder wall. The engine simulations were conducted under both motoring and firing conditions. We revealed the prediction difference in wall heat transfer between standard wall function and analytical wall function models.
