Abstract
We conducted storage life tests using commercial 18650-type lithium-ion cells to study the effect of performance tests during storage life tests. The difference in the frequency of the performance tests affects the charge/discharge cycle number and self-discharge amount of the test cells during storage, which affects cell degradation. In addition, the coulombic efficiency during charge/discharge tests indicated that the measured capacity varies by the overhang of the negative electrode. Considering such effects is important for highly accurate evaluation of storage degradation.
