Abstract
Despite the burgeoning literature dealing with the formation of eco-rational subjects under the neoliberal governmentality of global environmentalism, an aspect that remains in need of careful examination is the complexity of the agentive practices by the resource users, which is carried out in the matrix of power relations inherent in a particular resource management regime. The presentation discusses on the agency of resource users, which engages in various practices to expand the social space in which an alternative pattern of resource use can be made possible.
