Transition from Child to Adult

Adolescent in Contemporary Bangladesh

Abstract

This paper will focus on adolescents in contemporary Bangladeshi rural society and examine the transition from child to adult. The youths, people in the latter half in their teens, are usually 1) students at secondary school, 2) migrant workers to urban, 3) married to be house-wives. I will discuss the internal and external dynamics to decide their life courses, reflecting the social changes.
