Knowledge and Issues Related to the Planning, Management, and Implementation Methods of Hagemashi-activities after the Kumamoto Earthquake

Abstract

In order to clarify the process and elements necessary for activities by focusing on the planning, operation, and implementation process in Hagemashi-activities, and by systematically organizing the findings and issues, we conducted interviews with coordinators and activists who implemented activities after the Kumamoto earthquake. As a result, in addition to the specific flow of activities from planning to implementation, we clarified the findings and future issues in the post-earthquake encouragement activities based on the relationships among three items: characteristics of the affected areas and encouragement activities, actions and judgments of coordinators and activists, and essential elements in conducting such activities.
