Necessity and Effect of E-learning Introduction into the Education for Disaster Prevention

Abstract

The education for disaster prevention, such as disaster prevention training, is carried out in many universities and offices. But it isn't always actually effective in the view point of the contents and the limited educational target in many cases. Moreover, the training of all users for all the calamity situations is actually difficult, and it can be said that practical use of e-Learning is effective in these cases. And the intelligible education for disaster prevention by e-Learning is expected. In practical use of e-Learning, it is most important to raise participant's study volition and to make it continue, and such contents need to be created. This research aims to consider the necessity of e-learning as technique of education for disaster prevention. We measured the effect of e-learning system by the experimental method. The objects of the experiments are the office workers in high building and the pupils of elementary school. As the results it is clarified that e-learning system is effective to understand more complicated contents and to understand them in less time.
