Abstract
Nurses require advanced clinical execution capabilities and professional knowledge in various clinical situation. However, nurses with little experience can be confused by sudden changes in a patient's condition and cannot always deal with these situations. Therefore, they must undergo regular on-the-job training (OJT). A simulation workshop focusing on respiratory management reproducing clinical situations was held in the surgical ward after a lecture. The workshop concerning the merits of OJT, reflecting the actual situation in the ward, had educational individuality and a favorable effect on clinical execution capability.
