Abstract
The widespread use of information-systems has great influences on our recent daily life. This situation asks for attention to the model of "user" . Some user-model, "who uses the apparatus" and "how to use it", are always required in designing, constructing and criticizing information systems in our society. This study discusses a suitable framework of user-model for recent media environment. For this purpose, we take a case of mobile phone as an example, and consider the user's information behavior. In conclusion, we show that the "relational model" of user has more valid of analyzing their behavior than the "substantial model" .
