Abstract
Recently, various traffic problems occur with the increase of tourists in sightseeing spots in Japan. This study aims to propose the most suitable sightseeing route model for tourists using GIS in a sightseeing spot and to select Kawagoe City in Saitama Prefecture as case study area. It is possible to adopt the sightseeing route model that we propose to solve traffic problems in Kawagoe City. Specifically, we describe the tourists' trips to define the framework of sightseeing route model. Based on the framework, we propose an effective sightseeing route model by the distance to develop it into the ones that considered safety in traffic circumstances.
