Abstract
This article is a practical report on remote teaching/learning at Kobe Tokiwa University, a mediumsized private university in Japan, during the COVID-19 crisis. The reflection on remote lectures using the Learning Management System (LMS) log suggests that it is crucial to consider the restrictions on not only students but also teachers so that teachers can provide students early and stable remote lectures. Remote lectures are not replacements for conventional face-to-face lectures, and they have different features. Therefore, it is essential to use both face-to-face and remote lectures to increase the quality of higher education after the crisis.
