Interpretive IS researchers has a difficulty in producing a text because of no specific research methods, and their long texts tend not to be read by practitioners. Based on the research results of recent congnitive science we discuss the notion of diagrammatic representation as a tool that moderates the difficulties incurred in the text production and consumption.
