Analysis of the people's needs for the social infrastructure development using AHP

Abstract

The objective of this study is to clarify the desire structure of people for the social infrastructure development, by ranking hierarchically each target of the social infrastructure development using AHP.
As the results, it is clarified that people demand the safe life rather than the confortable life by developing the social infrastructure.
In addition, it become clear that the minimum necessary infrastructure is not even enough created in any cities according to the need-hierarchy theory (maslow,a. h.), because the tendency of people's needs is independent of the level of the social infrastructure improvement in each city where they live.
