Abstract
Various researches and educational methods for grasping business structures by means of Conceptual Data-modeling (CDM) have been reported.
In this report, we describe the process that we proposed to improve business of a clinic by the CDM method as a theme of PBL (Project Based Learning) and we analyze how effectively the method worked.
We got the entire picture of the business as we gradually incorporated contents into models, which were obtained from a few hour hearings with each department of the clinic.
The models allowed us to summarize obscure issues into core problems and to make feasible proposals to improve their business which is bounded tightly to medical constraints.
