Abstract
As a part of the model of business change enabled by IT, the concrete way to develop the courses of business change is explained in this research. These business changes should be aligned with business strategy and be enabled by IT.
The hypothesis of this research is as follows. ‘There are 6 types of business changes along with life-cycles of business, and there are 4 types of IT roles by the characteristics of business. The courses of business change are different by each life-cycle and each IT role'. By the survey of 600 Japanese companies in 2012, the hypothesis was proved.
Finally, putting together life-cycle and IT role, this research shows 6 choices of the courses for business change enabled by IT.
