Abstract
The researcher assesses the software testing business and the platform for small and medium-sized IT firms.
The huge expansion of smart phones and tablets has produced the requirements of Interoperability testing, which is an opportunity for those who think about the commercialization of testing services. But the initial investments would be burdens especially to small and medium-sized IT firms. An institution which provides the common business platform is indispensable to overcome this situation.
In Okinawa, the IIOT Foundation (IIOT) was established as “Testing Eco-System" Infrastructure which serves a highly advanced testing and certification technology platform. IIOT would supply useful test tools and various mobile terminals and the knowledge database for testing efficiency.
