Abstract
A mathematical model for describing the organizational situations in which cross-cultural understanding among members is required is proposed with the framework of the theory of committees with members' permissible ranges and that of hypergame theory. In particular, the situations in which the members' perceptions of “the rule of decision making of the organization" are different from each other are modeled. Then, the conditions for the members to have the same perceptions are investigated, and some insights on effective way for cross-cultural understanding are obtained.
