Abstract
PM Theory by Professor Misumi and SL(situational leadership)Theory by Hersey & Blanchard are well established as leadership theories. PM Theory suggests better leadership styles regardless of the types of those who are led by the leader. SL Theory suggests that the leadership styles should change depending on the maturity level of those who are led by the leader and the changes in the leadership styles are suggested in the frame of "directive" vs. "cooperative". In this presentation, those who are led by the leader are divided into three categories based on their aspiration, ambition, and capatility and the leader are suggested to change the style in the frame of Misumi's P and M.
