Abstract
In the theory of technology, there is an idea that technology has a system for self-reparation. According to this theory, crises arisen from the advancement of technology will be corrected with a further advancement of technology. However, this theory has a fatal flaw that it does not explain how it works when irreparable damage occurred in the process of advancement of technology.
Among philosophical theories of technology, there is an idea of social constructivism. It is a theory that society can determine the future of technology. We will be able to find a new direction for ethical issues related to social media by introducing this idea. The society must find a way to live with social media ahead of technology.
