Utilize the framework to manage organization and business activity: Apply COBIT 5 and validate its effectiveness

Abstract

Although management to improve the quality of organization and business activities is very important, the know-how for “What and how we should promote, or what measures we should take" may not exist in all of the organization and we could not always manage them properly. In this study, COBIT 5, as the framework of IT governance and management, could be utilized in non-IT organization or business activities to be the best practices, and also some implementation method would be formulated. In addition, the action research, in which the framework and the method are actually implemented for real organization to validate the effectiveness, would be introduced.
