Abstract
Top management is important in an organization, however, the role of middle managers is also important. In this paper, I focuses on identifying the characteristics of a middle manager or a "workplace leader." Since business environment changes with places of work, the requirements for capability needed for a workplace leader are various, and they are not able to determine the identical definite capability. We aimed at probing the requirements for capability of a workplace leader peculiar to each organization by this research. We aimed at development of the method of attaching a priority in those requirements for capability.
