A Research on Character Recognition by AI for Accounting System

Abstract

We'll explain a part of implementation of accounting system conducted in Japan about character recognition that introduced AI. We are focusing on Chinese characers mainly used in the accounting system. The purpose of the research is to have AI learn image recognition that introduced Open CV on balance sheets, and to automatically recognize five types of characters. When it can be realized, not only can it automatically convert many tables existing in the accounting system into spreadsheets, but it also reads data of important account items in the tables and enables AI to evaluate time-series changes, We think that it can be applied to value calculation.
