Anonymized personal information means information relating to an individual is masked so that specific individuals cannot be identified, and such personal information cannot be restored. By converting personal information to anonymized one, organizations can promote the utilization of personal data, including data transactions and data linkage among businesses, under certain rules and without the consent of the individuals. However, it is difficult to say that anonymized personal information is being utilized because it is unclear how much processing is required to meet the standards required by the law. In this study, we conduct a questionnaire survey of car owners to analyze the degree to which they are aware of the privacy issues concerning their anonymized personal information.
