Abstract

When tourists decide places to visit, they often make decisions through word of mouth on social media and information on websites. In this study, we used the AISCEAS consumer behavior model to build a hypothetical tourism behavior model that consists of SNS, websites, and visits to tourist sites. A cross-correlation analysis of the number of Instagram posts, the number of accesses to the official website of Kawanehon-cho, and the number of visitors to tourist sites in four tourist sites in Kawanehon-cho, Haibara-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture verified the hypothetical tourism behavior model.
