Abstract
The selection of an appropriate crowd-worker is one of the most important and difficult task for a client in the use of crowdsourcing. This paper proposes a method of selecting crowd-workers in the category of writing. This category is chosen because the typical offering price in this category is too low to spend additional coordination cost including communication cost. Therefore, the proposed method will be more effective in this category. In this study, a simple writing task is offered for crowd-workers to examine the efficacy of the proposed method. The quality of articles written by the control group is compared with the quality of articles by the selected group by using the proposed method. The articles are evaluated based on the criteria presented to the workers in advance. The analysis results indicate that the quality of articles by the selected group is higher than that of articles by other groups.
