Abstract
Some effects of averaging time for wind speed on a peak value are known. However, wind speeds with different averaging time are used. In this paper, we reported effects of averaging time for wind speed on intensity of turbulence under strong winds. Mean wind speeds are almost constant with length of averaging time. On the other hand, peak gust speeds and gust factors became smaller as average time became longer. As averaging time became longer, intensities of turbulence based on arithmetic average became larger because of reducing amount of data. Turbulent intensities based on moving average became smaller.
