A Fundamental Study on the Ground Effect for Aerodynamic Force of a Solar Panel

Abstract

Ground effects for the aerodynamic forces on a solar panel were experimentally studied by using 2 dimensional model, in order to clarify their general characteristics. When the angle of attack was small, the observed characteristics were similar to the previous studies that was conducted for airfoils. On the other hand, complicated characteristics were observed when the angle of attack was larger.
