Abstract
Schwannoma is rare occurreuce as a beneign tumor arising primary in larynx.
A 23 years old woman who visited the hospital writh complaint of dyspnea and hoarseness, was found to have a large tumor in the larynx which occupied half of the cavity.
The tumor was incised after opening into the hypopharynx, and it was found that the tumor had sprung from aryepiglottic fold.
The tumor was smooth, elastic, hardand quail's egg size, and the histological examination showed that it was neurinoma, that is to say, shwannoma.
The patient maintained a normal laryngeal function without disturbance in swallowing althongh the epiglottis was incised from its root.
