Excellent diagnostic tool for dementia : The clock drawing test

Abstract

Hasegawa's Dementia Scale Revised version (HDS-R) is frequently and preferentially used for the dementia screening in our country. However, we should use other Performance IQ Index to eliminate early phase dementia. Author proposed CDT (clock drawing test) as for one of the best procedure to clarify dementia from mental diseases such as depression, schizophrenia, and Down syndrome.
