Endovascular Treatment in the Superficial Femoral Artery: Results and Problems of New Devices

Abstract

The result of endovascular treatment for the superficial femoral artery has been getting better, not only acute phase but also chronic phase, by the appearance of new devices. However, even these new devices could not resolve every problem, so it became important to seek appropriate devices for each patient. I investigated the past results and problematic issues of several new devices that will either be introduced to the Japanese market in future or are beginning clinical trials.
