A 70 years-old man with internal iliac artery (IIA) aneurysm was refereed to our hospital. Computed tomography (CT) showed a 60 mm saccular aneurysm in the trunk of right IIA. We planned embolization by isolation of the aneurysm and we packed inside Amplatzer vascular plug (AVP) with fibered coils after deployment of catheter set AVP. Any symptoms such as gluteal claudication did not occur after the treatment. Postoperative CT revealed no inflow of contrast medium into the aneurysm, the sac size did not increase and both the superior and inferior gluteal arteries were well patent.
