Mass transfer between two phases was studied in an agitated vessel with a flat liquid-liquid interface for 30 systems, where physical properties varied in a wide range. The observed Sherwood numbers for the first-phase Sh1 were correlated in terms of the first-phase Reynolds number Re1, modified second-phase Reynolds number Re2'', Schmidt number Sc1, Capillary number Ca1 and a function of viscosity ratio Φ. The correlation obtained represents all the data with an average deviation of 12.7%:
