Abstract

The authors have developed percutaneous subdural tapping as minimum invasive treatment particularly for the aged patients with chronic subdural hematoma. As the ultimate application, replacement of hematoma with oxygen has been adopted to remove most of the hematoma without saline irrigation. The technical details of this treatment are described, in addition to valuable points of minimum invasiveness.
