Abstract

Microlymphangiographic studies were performed to clarify the existence of intramucosal lymphatic vessel of the large intestine.
We guess, previous studies have not been satisfactorily enough about its correct morphologic picture. lvficrolymphangiographic methods consists of intra-arterial injection of silver nitrate with india ink and of submucosal puncture injection of india ink, directly. Experimental materials were obtained from 25 dogs and 12 resected specimens of human.
Some authers said that there are no lymphatic vessel in the intramucosal zone except of nearly above muscularis mucosae. However, we found two horizontal lymphatic networks which appear at nealy mucosal surface and above the muscularis mucosae in the specimen of 4 dogs. Then, the findings of lymphatic vessels above the muscularis mucosae were observed in the both materials from dogs and humans.
