側鎖のインヒビター溶剤に及ぼす影響

Corrosion inhibitors of high molecular weight amines are often used with solvents and emulsifiers in order to be well dispersed in corrosive media. And some solvents can enhance efficiency of inhibitors by making another layer upon absorbed inhibitor-film. In this report, we studied about the correlation between solvents and structures of hydrocarbon radicals in inhibitor molecules. Branched alkyl amines, sticking on metal surfaces, can attract solvents more than non-branched ones. There are some exceptions when side chains are attached remote from adsorbent radical not to interfere self-orientation on metal surfaces. And regarding solvents, they must solve inhibitors and have some affinity to hydrocarbon radicals not to depart easily.
As the result, the similarity of structures between solvents and hydrocarbon radicals will show outstanding effects on inhibitors, and alkyl amines with aromatic branches can be more effectively used when solved in naphthenic hydrocarbons than when in paraffinic ones. Our next purpose is to study about structures of hydrocarbon radicals which may increase adsorption ability of inhibitors.
