The sector gate of Amagasaki Port was cathodically protected with ten 17lb Magnesium Cast Anodes, which were regulated to apply the protected surface of 4, 640ft2. with current approximating in total to 8.6 Amperes.
The results obtained are excellent, the effect desired having been fully achieved as verified by measurement of the gate surface-to-sea water potential, measurement with test pieces and observation.
