Rapid corrosion of buried utility pipes for buildings is caused by macro-cells, most of which are formed between the pipes (anode) and rebars in concrete (cathode).
Usually, installing insulating coupling would get good result, but if there is a liquid having electrical conductivity, jumping current must be treated.
The jumping current could be treated by extending insulating length of insulating coupling.
But some special case a Steel Earth would be needed for the treatment.
