As the number of aging bridges increases, it is important to develop a simpler and more quantitative method for evaluating the health of bridges. Vibration testing is a quantitative method for evaluating the health of bridges. In order to evaluate the health of bridges based on changes in natural frequencies, it is important to understand the vibration characteristics of bridges when they are in good condition. In this paper, vibration tests are conducted to investigate the effect of skew angle on the vibration characteristics of bridges. The natural frequencies calculated from the experiments were compared with several patterns of skew angles, and the changes in natural frequencies with changes in skew angle were investigated.
