Abstract

Investigating the vertical distributions of CO₂ concentrations on actual crop-fields, and applying their values to the formula (1) derived from Thornthwaite-Holzman (1942; DSDA Tech. Bul., 817), the authors tried to establish a new method for measuring the rate of carbon assimilation under actual field conditions, and got the results suggesting the method would be a promising one.
