The visual design of the 47th CSAJ Annual Meeting in Nagoya 2016

Abstract

　We produced a visual design of the 47th the Color Science Association of Japan Annual Meeting in Nagoya 2016. The creating procedure is as follows; 1. Understanding past performances and a current situation, 2. Setting goals of production, 3. Making a logo, 4. Making a poster, 5. Design development, 6. Design evaluation. We decided three goals of "identity", "visibility", "deplorability" in the work.

　In the logo as the main visual, the seven colors related to this meeting were used. It was shaped as a heptagon made up of seven triangles, and an inverse figure expressed a letter of "light". Based on the logo, a poster, signs and paper fans were also created.

　As design experts evaluated our work to a certain extent, it showed an example of a worthy design.

We hope the future meetings will take advantages the progress of color science, and lead as better society and people's lives through color. Moreover, we desire the future visual design will be further developed.
