A new hybrid resin block was used for a total of 21 molar crowns for 14 patients (all female, average 52.7 years old) and the clinical assessment was conducted 3 to 13 months after cementing for the period of an average of 8.5 months. The 9 evaluation criteria were as follows: marginal quality, surface texture, occlusal wear, fracture, cracks, color match, attachment plaque, gum inflammation and occlusal wear of antagonistic tooth. As a result, desorption and fracture were not observed in all cases, and other evaluation items were not recognized as changed at the time of wearing. Therefore, it was suggested that the new hybrid resin block was effective as a material for the molar crown.
