Mitsumata-ike is located in Yatomi city in western Aichi prefecture. Municipal waste water is flowing into this lake, and water pollution is occurring. In order to estimate the eutrophication, studies of water quality and the ecosystem were carried out jointly with Kaisho-high school. The results in 2010 showed that eutrophication has been increasing in this lake, however, the ecosystem has been maintained, and many creatures are living there.
