Abstract

Tsukuba Technical High School in Ibaraki Prefecture has conducted a project using space technology for the past four years, with an aim to expand the possibilities in career paths for its students. The project aims to help each student studying at the technical high school obtain a global perspective, and to research universities and aspect related to studying abroad. In recent years, space development by private companies has gained momentum internationally. Under these circumstances, students at engineering high schools (who will be responsible for Japan's technological future) are expected to pursue space utilization technologies such as positioning, earth observation, and communication, and to utilize them with a global perspective.
