In this study, we measured man-made microwave signals and re-evaluated RFI rejection methods for C-band and lowfrequency microwave bands to develop a microwave radiometer with radio-frequency interference (RFI) rejection capability, using software-defined radio technology. The cross-frequency and kurtosis detection methods were tested for the obtained dataset containing continuous-wave and pulsed signals. Results confirmed that the cross-frequency and kurtosis detection methods were effective in rejecting RFI. Furthermore, since both methods have different features, combining them could remove more RFI signals than using them singularly. However, in space, even weaker RFI needs to be detected and removed. Therefore, further investigations into combining multiple methods and applying new statistical methods are necessary.
