The mechanical properties of solid propellants at low temperatures are important for the use of solid propellants in planetary exploration. In this study, a simulated propellant in the glass transition state was compressed, and mechanical properties were obtained. The thermal contraction strain of a simulated propellant is discussed in terms of its materials. The residual strain that remained when the propellant was returned to room temperature may have been caused by particle migration.
