Abstract
In order to estimate quantitatively the reduction effects of water content with additation and mixture of the dehydrate gypsums, the hemihydrate gypsums and the dehydrate gypsums, the authors proposed the estimating equations on the water content of stabilized soils with reclaimed gypsums by considering their thermal behaviors in this paper.
As the results, it was found that between the estimating equations of the water content derived from stabilized soils by reclaimed gypsums considering their thermal behaviors and those of considering their water content tests were different. Therefore, when the water contents are calculated using the derived estimating equations, the value based on “the apparent water contents” is larger than that based on “the true water contents”. Consequently, it was likely to underestimate the reduction effects of the water content of reclaimed gypsum stabilized soils by the water content tests with “test method for water content of soils (JIS A 1203: 2009)”.
