Abstract

We investigated the differences in depression-like behavior after time-restricted feeding of CE-2 diet to C57BL/6J male mice. The mice in the experimental group were able to feed for 16 hr per day, whereas the control group were fed ad libitum. After 4 weeks, a forced swim test was conducted, and body weight and fasting blood glucose were measured. The duration of immobility in the forced swim test, body weight, and fasting blood glucose were compared between the groups ; however, no significant differences were found. We found no relationship between depression-like behavior and time-restricted feeding of CE-2 diet to C57BL/6J mice.
