In stores, openings are sometimes left open even during the summer cooling season. In some cases, the air conditioner is set in such a way that the airflow directly moves to outdoor air through the openings, which increases ventilation load. For the evaluation of ventilation rate and ventilation load for energy-saving, ventilation calculation is often used. However, it does not consider the effect of airflow from air-conditioners. In this paper, a new model of buoyancy ventilation calculation was proposed to consider the influence of airflow from air-conditioners by imposing the wind pressure originating from airflow of air-conditioner to the pressure difference due to indoor-outdoor temperature difference. The distribution of the wind pressure was calculated by using a computational fluid dynamics analysis. For a case of a store with a single aperture in summer where airflow from air-conditioner is oriented to outdoor, the calculated results by the proposed model was validated by comparing with the simulated results by computational fluid dynamics.
